Birthing the Light

This image was conceived in a flash, complete with its title—Birthing the Light. It was full of feminine energy, joy and promise. I must admit that this painting was a labor of love, taking far longer than I wanted, like any pregnancy. Only after I finished it did I realize that I had painted an image similar to the symbol for Aquarius—the water bearer—and realized that yes, this is our job here on earth at the beginning of the Aquarian age, to Birth the Light, not just one woman but all women and all men as well because the Light is always wanting to be born anew! The original is oil on canvas, approximately 31″ x 47″, and is part of a private collection. Giclée prints are available.
