This privacy policy pertains to the Messages From The Light App, a meditation card deck application separate from this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when using the App. We do not collect any information when using this website.
Information We Collect
1. Anonymous Identifiers
When you use the App, we create an anonymous user ID through Firebase Authentication. This ID:
- Is randomly generated and not linked to your personal identity
- Allows us to sync your data across devices (premium feature)
- Is used to restore your purchases
2. App Usage Data (Premium Users)
If you purchase premium access, the following data is stored in the cloud:
- Reading History: Records of card readings you perform, including which cards were drawn and any notes you add
- Custom Layouts: Card spread layouts you create
- Settings: Your app preferences (theme, text size, visual effects, music settings)
Free users’ data is stored only on their device and is not transmitted to our servers.
3. Purchase Information
When you make a purchase, our payment processor RevenueCat collects:
- Transaction records
- Purchase date
- Product purchased (Premium Lifetime Access)
We do not have access to your payment method details (credit card, Apple Pay, etc.). These are handled securely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and improve the App’s functionality
- Sync your data across your devices (premium feature)
- Restore your purchases on new devices
- Process transactions
Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: App preferences and reading history are stored on your device
- Cloud Storage (Premium): Data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers with encryption in transit
- Access Control: Cloud data is protected by authentication—only you can access your data

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
