Last updated 12/29/2025. This privacy policy pertains to the Messages From The Light App, a meditation card deck application separate from this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when using the App. We do not collect any information when using this website.
Information We Collect
1. Anonymous Identifiers
When you use the App, we create an anonymous user ID through Firebase Authentication. This ID:
- Is randomly generated and not linked to your personal identity
- Allows us to sync your data across devices (premium feature)
- Is used to restore your purchases
2. Account Information (Premium Users)
To purchase premium access, you must sign in with Apple Sign-In (iOS) or Google Sign-In (Android). When you sign in, we receive:
- Your email address
- Your name (for Apple Sign-In only)
This information is used solely for:
- Account identification and recovery
- Restoring your purchases on new devices
- Account-related support
We do not use it for marketing, newsletters, advertising, or share it with third parties.
3. App Usage Data (Premium Users)
If you purchase premium access, the following data is stored in the cloud:
- Reading History: Records of card readings you perform, including which cards were drawn, titles you add, and any notes you write. We store up to 1,000 readings; older readings are automatically removed when this limit is reached.
- Custom Layouts: Card spread layouts you create, including position names, descriptions, and grid arrangements.
- Settings: Your app preferences including theme, text size, visual effects (orbs, stars, sparkles), and music settings.
Free users’ data is stored only on their device and is not transmitted to our servers.
4. Purchase Information
When you make a purchase, our payment processor RevenueCat collects:
- Transaction records
- Purchase date
- Product purchased (Premium Lifetime Access)
We do not have access to your payment method details (credit card, Apple Pay, etc.). These are handled securely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and improve the App’s functionality
- Sync your data across your devices (premium feature)
- Verify and restore purchases
- Process transactions
Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: App preferences and reading history are stored on your device
- Cloud Storage (Premium): Data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers with encryption in transit
- Access Control: Cloud data is protected by authentication—only you can access your data

Data Retention
- Local data: Remains on your device until you delete the App
- Cloud data: Retained while your account exists. If you sign out without linking a social account, your cloud data may be deleted. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.
- Reading history limit: We store up to 1,000 readings. When you create a new reading and have reached this limit, the oldest reading is automatically removed.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data by viewing it within the App

Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the “Last Updated” date.
